Metropolitan Magistrate Rabinder Singh sent accused Arjun Singh, a clerk in the administrative section of the hospital, to jail till February 12 after he was produced on the expiry of his a day-long custodial interrogation.
The accused allegedly prepared fake documents for the druglord, who is in jail in connection with a drugs case, the police told the court.
The documents were recovered from a car recently in Green Park area here following an encounter between the police and the alleged members of Satya Prakash alias Satte gang.
The accused fudged documents of an old cancer patient, undergoing treatment at the AIIMS and attempted to project her as Sharafat's mother, the police claimed.
The documents could have been used for getting bail for the druglord on the pretext of illness of his mother, they said.
A case under various provisions of the IPC, dealing with cheating, impersonation and faking documents, has been lodged against the accused employee of the hospital.
