When G. Mohanty disconnected the call and did not pick up again, the caller called up his office landline and told his secretary that he would "blow him up". Mohanty had received the call on Tuesday and he filed a written complaint with the Parliament Street police station the same day. A senior police officer confirmed that the complaint had been received and investigations were on.

"We have put the number, from which the call was made, on surveillance and efforts are on to identify the owner. Most likely it is a former employee of AIR," a senior police officer said.

Sources said Mohanty has also forwarded his complaint to the Commissioner of Police and is planning to move court if police failed to take any action. According to the complaint filed by Mohanty, the caller started abusing him as soon as he picked up the call and then threatened to eliminate him.

"He disconnected the phone but the caller called on his personal mobile number 2-3 times again. When he did not pick up, caller called on his office landline and his personal secretary picked up the phone. The caller asked the secretary to transfer the phone to Mohanty and when he didn't, the caller said that he would blow him up," the officer added.

Police said that they have taken Mohanty's statement and are questioning few of former AIR employees. "We are trying find out whether he had any fight with any of his subordinates recently. A case will be registered once we identify the caller," he further said.
