On Sunday, union corporate affairs minister Sachin Pilot held a meeting to chalk out the future course of action over the alleged police inaction, leaders from other parties and caste background came in dozens.

The 20-year-old was raped, strangulated and thrown down from the fifth floor inside Moradabad’s Mahavir Tirthankar University. “There have been eight such rape and murder cases in that university in the past. But police didn’t take action as the management is very close to the ruling SP leadership,” said Rajendra Singh Solanki, former Bulandshahar MLA.

Pilot said that this isn’t a party or state issue. The gathering decided to hold demonstrations in Bulandshahar if no action is taken till July 25.
