The United Kingdom (UK) authorities, including London's Metropolitan Police Service also known as the Scotland Yard, have provided the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) with crucial information that could help it in its probe into irregularities related to the conduct of the Queen's Baton Relay in London before the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

The "fresh information" include details of monetary transactions related to the baton relay deals with
London-based AM Films and AM Car & Van.

“We seek to identify the deals’ architects in the Organising Committee (OC),” said a CBI source who was authorised to talk to the media.

Beefed with the new inputs that have evidentiary value, the CBI is likely to again quiz the Games OC’s former chairman Suresh Kalmadi on Wednesday.

"We will seek Kalmadi's clarification on a number of issues related to the two deals," said the source.
