Aspiring model killed in crash

A 20-year-old aspiring model was killed when his car overturned in west Delhi's Moti Nagar early on Thursday.

A 20-year-old aspiring model was killed when his car overturned in west Delhi's Moti Nagar early on Thursday.

Abhay Batra, who lived in Ramesh Nagar with his family, was near Metro pillar No. 372 in Bali Nagar with four friends in the car at the time of the accident.

A police officer said Batra and his friends were returning from Paharganj after a party.

"Witnesses said the driver of the car was speeding. Batra had stuck his head out of the car's window. His friend, who was driving the car, lost control of the vehicle and it overturned after hitting the central verge of the road," said the police officer.

"Batra's friends suffered only minor bruises," said the officer.
