Australia were the first country to walk into the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi during the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games on Sunday evening.

The rest of 70 teams followed the Australian contingent. Netball player Sharelle Mcmahon was the flag bearer for the Australians.
