The latest incident was reported on Shivam Batteries on Madan Puri Road where the gang struck Thursday and sped away with batteries worth R20 lakh. Earlier on Wednesday, two shops were broken into in the similar fashion.
According to police sources, the demand for the inverters and batteries goes up during summers and the thieves were targeting to meet the rising demand for the same.
About nine incidents of battery and inverter shop break-ins have already been reported this month.
This gang has been using a black Mahindra Scorpio SUV and its members are usually armed with no fear of the police or law and order, aghast traders claim.
