Sinha said almost two years have passed since his committee gave its report to the government, making certain recommendations about the Aadhar card scheme but the government took no action.

Sinha added that his committee had unanimously rejected the National Identification Authority of India Bill, 2010, in its report submitted on December 13, 2011, after the bill was referred to it by the Rajya Sabha.
