BJP slams Rahul for his remark

The BJP on Friday dubbed as “baseless” Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s remark holding the Opposition responsible for the failure to pass the Food Security Bill. The saffron party also said that the Chhattisgarh food security model was far better than the Centre’s proposed food security Bill.

“Congress is in the habit of blaming BJP. Gandhi’s charge is absolute rubbish. Instead of blaming others, Congress should blame itself for non-passage of Food Security Bill,” BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said. He claimed the Chhattisgarh’s model was more inclusive as it provides foodgrains to 90% of the population unlike the Centre’s covers 67% of the population.
