Already 1,500 volunteers, not BJP members necessarily but certainly its supporters, have offered to help disseminate information and election propaganda through the Internet.
The target is get 10,000 volunteers registered online through BJP prime minister candidate L.K. Advani’s website, senior party leader Venkaiah Naidu has said. “We want to try a creative election campaign. We will give publicity materials to these volunteers who will reach out to young voters,” he said.
The BJP has planned first-time voters’ conventions across metro cities, beginning with West Delhi on January 26, to be attended by party chief Rajnath Singh. On January 14, Advani’s “Communications Office”hosted a meeting with online volunteers from Delhi and the NCR region.
