Five people, including a woman and a minor, have already been arrested in this case.

On September 1, one of the accused posing as a policeman, stopped the vehicle of a businessman on the pretext of checking him. After robbing the man of his money, the gang forcibly took him to a building.

After waylaying the businessman, the gang had taken him to a secluded place, where they forcibly took his photographs with a woman in a compromising position and later abandoned him on the road.

“We have arrested Pradeep (34) who was absconding. We have recovered R3.5 lakh and a .315 bore country-made pistol from him,” BS Jaiswal, DCP (Outer), said. The accused was apprehended when he came in a car to meet his family in Outer Delhi’s Pooth locality.

Last month, the police had arrested Ramesh Dahiya (35), a farmer, Amit (21), a wrestler who has completed his BA, Pawan (20), a state-level boxer and Lalita, a 20-year-old housewife. A minor, who is a Class 10 student, and is a wrestler too, was also detained in connection with the case.
