The incident took place near a traffic signal on Sarai Jullena Marg. The deceased has been identified as Nizamuddin of Jamia Nagar. The mishap took place while Nizamuddin was waiting at the signal. His brother Shamuddin had gone to a nearby picket to buy a cigarette when the bus rammed into his bike from behind, police said.

“Nizamuddin fell off the bike and sustained severe injuries. His brother, who witnessed the accident, rushed to the spot. He was taken to the Holy Family Hospital where he was declared brought dead,” police said.

The bus was plying on route No. 534 between Mehrauli and Anand Vihar.
