Bomb scare in Sapt Kranti Express

The train, running between Muzaffarpur in Bihar and Old Delhi, was at the maintenance yard when the call was received.

Searches were being carried out at the maintenance yard of Old Delhi railway station after officials received an anonymous call that a bomb has been planted in a train stationed there.

"The Deputy Station Superintendent of Old Delhi station received an anonymous phone call at 12:25 pm. That a bomb has been planted in the Sapt Kranti Express," railway officials said.

The train, running between Muzaffarpur in Bihar and Old Delhi, was at the maintenance yard of the station when the call was received, they said.

The train arrived at the station at 9:55 am. Instead of scheduled time of 7:50 am. The same train is scheduled to depart at 16:45. Bomb detection and disposal experts and dog squad were conducting searches on the train, they said.
