Boy hangs self in ambassador’s servant quarters

A Class 12 student committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in the servants’ quarters attached to the residence of the Kenyan High Commissioner in south Delhi’s Vasant Vihar on Friday morning.

A Class 12 student committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in the servants’ quarters attached to the residence of the Kenyan High Commissioner in south Delhi’s Vasant Vihar on Friday morning.

According to a police officer, the body was discovered by the victim’s father, who is employed at the Kenyan High Commissioner’s residence.

“No suicide note has been recovered from the spot,” a police officer said, adding that the exact reason behind the extreme step was yet to be ascertained and the statements of all his friends and relatives has been recorded.

So far, the police have been unable to identify the motive behind the suicide.

The police have not divulged the student’s identity as he was a minor. He had been doing his Class 12 through an open school.
