Boys sustain burn injuries

Two boys suffered burn injuries while playing with a matchstick in RK Puram, south Delhi on Tuesday. The boys dropped a lit matchstick in an open drain, leading to a minor fire. Fire erupted from the drain as soon as the matchstick came in contact with the inflammable methane gas that had accumulated in the drain, police said. HT reports.

The duo — aged 10 and 12 — suffered burn injuries on their faces and other parts of the body. They were rushed to the Safdarjung Hospital.
