A 17-year-old class X student, Anupam, committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan at his house in Govindpuri in Southeast Delhi on Wednesday. HT reports.

A 17-year-old class X student, Anupam, committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan at his house in Govindpuri in Southeast Delhi on Wednesday.

"The exact reason for taking the step could not be ascertained, as no suicide note was recovered from the spot," said a senior police officer.

The police said the victim's family claimed he was in depression over his repeated poor performance in board exams.
