The system initially stopped working when Gujarat Congress chief Shaktisinh Gohil was speaking in support of the political resolution.

A short circuit led to the failure of the public address system between 4pm and 4.30 pm. The sound system broke down again after some time, prompting Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit and other party leaders rushing to the control room to ensure that the system was
rectified.
