“The twins were separated successfully and reconstructive work is being carried out. They have responded well to surgery so far,” said Dr Sanjeev Bagai senior consultant pediatrician, Batra Hospital.
Doctors have to reconstruct a new set of urino-genital and intestinal system for one twin. The twins were separated by 8 pm and the reconstructive surgery will go on till midnight.
The twins are from Bihar and have been at the Batra Hospital since March 29.
