If you thought people of Delhi were unhappy with incessant power cuts, and allegedly inflated electricity bills, you were wrong. Around 80 per cent Delhiites are actually “satisfied” with power distribution companies, claims a new survey by the state power watchdog body, Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission.

Around 80 per cent Delhiites are actually “satisfied” with power distribution companies, claims a new survey by the state power watchdog body, Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC).
The Delhi Power Consumer Satisfaction Survey, commissioned by the DERC and carried out by professional surveying company AC Nielsen ORG-MARG, picked a random sample of 11,140 Delhiites across the three private discoms—NDPL in North, BYPL and BRPL in East, South and West Delhi respectively.
Delhiites were asked questions regarding the supply situation at the micro level.
Not only are people satisfied with the power supply, responses also indicate the satisfaction level has only increased when compared with the results of a similar survey two years ago.
The only issue that miffed consumers is the lack of intimation regarding power cuts.
