At 12.30am, a man rushed to the policemen on patrol, claiming he was attacked by four people, including a juvenile, inside a brothel. When they arrived at the scene, the culprits charged at them with knives.

“Constable Bijender Singh nabbed the juvenile but his accomplice stabbed him several times,” head constable Baljeet Dahiya said. The culprits also attacked Dahiya and head constable Sandeep, but were forced to flee when police backup arrived. All four were chased down and apprehended.

Singh was rushed to Lok Nayak hospital, but declared brought dead.
