The action was taken after Manju Bisaiyan, councillor of Nand Nagri ward no 243, lodged a complaint against him, police said. The ASI, identified as Raj Kumar, was posted at the Man Sarowar Park police station. The incident took place on Thursday when Bisaiyan had gone to attend a family function. One of the locals made a PCR call about the loud music being played at the function. ASI Raj Kumar reached the spot and took away Bisaiyan’s son Manish to the police station. The councillor along with her supporters reached the police station. “She introduced herself and asked the ASI to release her son. On this, the ASI became angry and slapped her,” said a police officer.
