The Dalai Lama was hospitalised Thursday in the Indian capital for "routine tests," an aide to the Tibetan spiritual leader said.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner spent four days in a Mumbai hospital in August after complaining of "abdominal discomfort."
He was being examined Thursday in a state-run New Delhi hospital following media reports that the abdominal pains had recurred.
The Buddhist monk had been slated to return to his home-in-exile in northern India on Thursday, but spokesman Tenzin Takhla told AFP the 73-year-old cleric would now remain in hospital at least until Saturday.
"There is nothing to worry about, as His Holiness is undergoing routine tests for which he had to be hospitalised," Takhla said.
