Dasna prisoner secures 73.4% in Class 12 exam

If the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 All-India topper belonged to Ghaziabad, the achievement of 32-year-old Trilok Chand Gautam, a convict serving five year imprisonment at Dasna prison in Ghaziabad, deserves no less mention. Peeyush Khandelwal reports.

If the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 All-India topper belonged to Ghaziabad, the achievement of 32-year-old Trilok Chand Gautam, a convict serving five year imprisonment at Dasna prison in Ghaziabad, deserves no less mention. He has topped the Class 12 UP Board examination results declared recently among all 64 prisons in the state.

Gautam secured 73.4% in his Class 12 results. A resident of Abupur village in Muradnagar town of Ghaziabad, he discontinued his studies in 1995 and could not study further.

His wife died soon after their love marriage in 2001 and later he was held for an abduction bid to help his friend marry a girl.
