While the notice mentions that she was relieved as per her own request, many claim that the move was made after the enquiry committee, set up by the university, found merit in the plagiarism allegations.

The scandal broke out in December last year, where two deans, one from the School of Education and the other from the Faculty of Law, were allegedly involved in plagiarism.

No decision has, so far, been taken regarding the two complaints and the enquiry committee is yet to come out with a final report.
