After sacking his environment and food and supplies minister for allegedly demanding a bribe from a builder, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said he would meet AAP MLAs and their families on Sunday to “warn them” against a repeat of the episode.

“Meeting all MLAs, with families, tomo eve. To remind them why we came in politics. To warn them that Asim Khan episode shud not happen again (sic),” Kejriwal tweeted on Saturday, a day after he dramatically announced Asim Ahmed Khan’s ouster from the cabinet.
Sources said Kejriwal had insisted on meeting family members of MLAs to “seek their help in keeping a check on party legislators”. “The CM wants to remind family members that he reposed trust in the MLAs when they were chosen to represent the party. If the legislators indulge in illegal acts, none of them will be spared. The families should, in fact, approach the CM if they find them indulging in corruption,” an AAP leader said.
