The shortage has hit raw water supply to Wazirabad pondage and subsequently, the production of potable water supply from Wazirabad and Chandrawal water treatment plants. Of the around 845 MGDs, the Chandrawal and Wazirabad plants together contribute 210 MGDs.

“We have taken up the matter with Haryana irrigation department,” the DJB said. Though the water body has not announced any cuts, it has advised Delhiites to store water and call for tankers if needed.
