In Delhi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 33.5 degree Celsius, one degree below normal, while the minimum stood at 24.5 degree Celsius, normal for this time of the year, the MeT office said.
The city, which received little to no rainfall till 5.30 pm, registered an uncomfortable maximum humidity of 95%.
In Punjab and Haryana, temperatures hovered a few notches below the normal level at many places, while some parts of the state received little rainfall. Chandigarh recorded a high of 31.2 degree Celsius, down two notches. Amritsar was cooler by four degrees registering a high of 31.5 degree Celsius.
