Delhi HC blasts: trial against Malik to begin today

The special NIA court has framed charges against Malik - including that of waging war against the country - and fixed April 1 as the date for recording of evidence.
District judge IS Mehta will start the trial by recording the statement of co-accused-turned-approver Amir Abbas Dev, who was too had been nabbed by the NIA in connection with the but later turned an approver and was granted pardon by the court.
Investigators said the court had framed charges under Section 121 (waging war against the country), Section 121-A (conspiring to commit offences against the state), Section 122 (collecting arms with intention of waging war against the government) and Section 123 (concealing with intent to felicitate design to wage war) of the IPC against Malik.
