Delhi Metro chief Sreedharan resumes work

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) chief E Sreedharan resumed attending office on Monday after heart surgery last month and is working according to schedule like before, an official said.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) chief E. Sreedharan resumed attending office on Monday after heart surgery last month and is working according to schedule like before, an official said.

Sreedharan, who underwent a successful bypass surgery last month, reached DMRC office in central Delhi sharp at 9 am, the official said.

"He (Sreedharan) came at nine in the morning today (Monday) and is doing all his duties according to the daily schedule like before," he added.

Sreedharan, 77, was admitted to Apollo hospital April 7 following a heart attack. He took a break for over a month from his work as a precautionary measure.
