Delhi Police issues notices to DDA allottees

The Delhi police has issued notices to all successful allottees in the DDA housing scheme asking them for details of their applications as well as monetary transactions.

"We are contacting every allottee of the DDA flats through a questionnaire which they have to reply to within 15 days of the receipt of the notice," Additional Commissioner of Police Economic Offences Wing (EOW) S B K Singh told reporters in New Delhi on Wednesday.

The questions are related to details of the allottees' applications and money transactions.

"After analysis of the replies, we will see if any rules have been violated or not," Singh said, adding, if needed, "we will consider the replies as evidence and allottees as witnesses".

The questionnaire has 11 questions in total which generally inquire whether the applicant has applied for the housing scheme or not. "If yes, then what was the application slip number and the counter foil".

Some of the other questions pertain to whether the applicant has applied directly or through some agency or individual, who filled up the application form and if a bank loan has been availed.

Also on the list of questions is the name of the bank and its branch, how the money was paid and the account number of the person's bank.
