"The minimum temperature recorded was 7.9 degrees Celsius, two degrees below average, today (Saturday). The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 24 degrees Celsius," a met official told IANS.

Earlier the lowest temperature of the season was recorded at 8.6 degrees Celsius on Nov 21.

"This is the lowest temperature recorded in November since 2006 when the temperature had dipped to 7 degrees Celsius," the official said.

"The sky will be mainly clear today. The temperature is expected to fall further tomorrow (Sunday)," the official added.

Delhiites Saturday woke up feeling colder than usual. The met official cited northwesterly winds blowing over the Jammu and Kashmir region as the reason behind the dip in the temperature.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded Friday were 25 degrees Celsius and 11 degrees Celsius respectively.
