Delhiites help nab criminals

A car dealer and his friend helped the police nab two dreaded criminals in Anand Vihar area of east Delhi. The criminals were trying to flee with a bag they had snatched from a money exchanger.

A car dealer and his friend helped the police nab two dreaded criminals in Anand Vihar area of east Delhi. The criminals were trying to flee with a bag they had snatched from a money exchanger.

The incident was reported on December 15 when money exchanger Nandkishore was returning from a bank after withdrawing money.

"As soon as he stepped out of the bank, two men snatched his bag. He shouted for help and one of the passers by, identified as Ashish Sharma, ran after them. He managed to catch one and the other accused was arrested with the help of another resident Praveen Raja," said IB Rani, DCP (east).

Both Sharma and Raja were given a cash rewards.
