Delhiites sweat as humidity rises

Delhiites sweated on Tuesday as humidity levels were high and the minimum temperature was three notches above average at 29.2 degrees Celsius, the weather office said.

Delhiites sweated on Tuesday as humidity levels were high and the minimum temperature was three notches above average at 29.2 degrees Celsius, the weather office said.

The humidity level at 8.30 am was at 79 per cent, said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum temperature is expected to rise to 39 degrees, a notch higher than on Monday's, the official said.

"There will be a mainly clear sky. It is also likely to become partly cloudy towards the afternoon with thundery development," the official said.

The total recorded rain for this season till Monday morning was 320 mm.
