Residents say criminal cases are either not registered or less heinous ones are registered in place of those that are serious. Your view?

My view is that no such thing happens. We make it a point to register each case as soon as the claims of the complainant are verified and take strict cognizance of any case in which a relevant case has not been registered.

Snatching, it seems, is no longer the runaway hit crime in Dwarka. Crooks have become more inclined towards robbery. Why?

Dwarka is no different in this than areas like Rohini. The fact is that nameless criminals from surrounding Palam, Ranhola and Dabri villages strike in posh areas of neighbouring Dwarka. Since increased policing has led to a drop in snatching incidents, desperate criminals have turned to more desperate means.

What are you doing to ensure such incidents do not get repeated?

We are in constant touch with office bearers from each colony in Dwarka and keep advising them to step up security in their respective localities.
