Thousands of devotees gathered at Bhairon Marg for celebrations, which caused massive traffic chaos on the road from Ring Road side and Mathura Road side, Delhi traffic police said.

According to the police, traffic remained affected for the whole day due to the celebration, however the situation

went out of control during evening hours.

“There were massive traffic congestions on the stretch during evening hours. However, the traffic police managed to control the situation,” said a senior traffic police officer.

“It took over an hour to cross Bhairon Marg in the evening. I was not aware about Bhairon jayanti and took the road to go to Karol Bagh. I left home in my car around 6.20pm and reached Karol Bagh at 8.45pm,” said Bitan Mukherjee, who lives in Mayur Vihar Phase 1.
