Dinakaran opts out of Oz tour

The controversial Karnataka High Court Chief Justice P.D. Dinakaran, facing serious allegations of corruption, has decided not be a part of the judges delegation going to Australia on Monday.

The controversial Karnataka High Court Chief Justice P.D. Dinakaran, facing serious allegations of corruption, has decided not be a part of the judges delegation going to Australia on Monday.

“Justice Dinakaran has himself opted out of the trip to Australia,” Chief Justice of India (CJI) K. G. Balakrishnan said on Saturday. Justice Dinakaran, whose promotion to the apex court seems uncertain following complaints of “illegal amassing of wealth”, by jurists, was part of the official team being led by the CJI.
