Area traders and the New Delhi Municipal Council, who have been bickering over the look the market should don, decided to organise a competition where architects will be asked to submit their drawings for its renovation.

NDMC officials and an association of the traders agreed on the idea of the competition after spending months disagreeing over the proposed changes in the market.
