Driver held for attacking tea vendor
A 48-year-old tea vendor was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon by his neighbour following an altercation over watching an Indian Premier League cricket match, in south Delhi on Wednesday, police said. HT reports.

Govind Lal, who runs a small tea shop near his house in Sunlight Colony’s Kilokri village, was about to shut shop for the day so he asked Velu Gandhi, a 25-year-old taxi driver, to go and watch the match elsewhere.
According to police, what triggered the altercation was Govind’s simple complaint that he was not feeling well and wanted go home. This, police claimed, initiated an argument between Gandhi and Govind.
“A few minutes later, Gandhi returned to the shop carrying a sharp-edged weapon and attacked Govind behind his head,” said Ajay Chaudhary, additional CP (southeast) Gandhi has been arrested.
