An abandoned baby, with a hole in his heart, has finally found a home. The infant was brought to the district hospital on November 16 by the Noida police. However, the infant has not been able to find a home because of the congenital defect.

While nobody has agreed to adopt the baby because of his ailment earlier, the hospital in Sector 39 was also in a fix as a surgery can only be preformed when the baby turns one.

“After 15 childless couples refused to adopt the child because of the ailment, we had lost hope. We were planning to send the boy to NGO. But luckily, a couple came forward for adoption on Monday. On Tuesday, the baby was handed over to him,” city magistrate Sanjay Chauhan said.

“The man, Khem Chand, is supervisor at a factory in Noida. He is a resident of Sarafabad. He has been married for about 12 years now. However, the district administration will bear the cost of treatment,” he added.
