The move comes after the commissioners of the three civic bodies nearly doubled the property tax rates of all non-residential properties.

According to standing committee chairman Sanjay Surjan, a proposal was passed in the committee's meeting on Thursday.

"The commissioner has been asked to decrease the tax rates for industries to what it was in 2012-13," Surjan said.
