Election Commission summons Gujarat chief secreatry for non-compliance of it's directions on transfer of a senior police officer in a poll related order of tansfers cleared by the panel.

Trouble seems to be brewing for Gujarat government following Election Commission's decision to summon state chief secreatry for non-compliance of it's directions on transfer of a senior police officer in a poll related order of tansfers cleared by the panel.

On Friday evening, EC sent a directive to Gujarat chief secretary to appear before it on Sunday and explains his position. The state govt has invited EC ire following its refusal to transfer P K Jha, joint commissioner police on charges of dereliction of duty.
