An eight-year-old boy, who was suspected to be kidnapped two days back, was found murdered at an isolated spot near Bhojpur area, adjacent to Modi Nagar, on Sunday night. The boy had gone missing from near his house on Saturday evening.

The post-mortem report has revealed that the victim was sodomised before being killed.
The victim, Shiv Kumar, went missing on August 20 at around 7.30 pm and after several hours of futile search, his family approached the police and lodged a missing complaint, saying they suspected that the child had been kidnapped. The body of the child was found at a field adjacent to his house.
“The body of the child bore several deep injury marks and was probably crushed by a heavy stone by the culprits, which led to his death. His post-mortem report has also indicated that he was sodomised being being murdered,” said Virendra Singh Rathore, station house officer.
After the recovery of the body, the victim’s father, Sandeep Prajapati, lodged an FIR in which he named three persons — Shiv Kumar, Ram Kumar and Rajendra Kumar — for the alleged crime.
“The victim’s family had entered into an agreement with the family of accused for sale of a piece of land, but later turned down the offer. We are probing the matter, but no one has been arrested so far,” Rathore said.
Police said that some other person had sodomised the boy and killed him as he suspected that his identity may be revealed after the act.
The body has been sent for postmortem.
