An elevated stretch between Prembari Pul and Azad Nagar in North Delhi will soon be added to the ever-growing list of flyovers and elevated roads in Delhi.
An elevated stretch between Prembari Pul and Azad Nagar in North Delhi will soon be added to the ever-growing list of flyovers and elevated roads in Delhi.

Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit laid the foundation stone of the new road on Friday. The 2.10 kilometre road will come up on the central verge along the Ring Road and will cost R247 crore. Dikshit also inaugurated a new pedestrian bridge at Shakurpur Colony on Friday.
After the inauguration, Dikshit said the new elevated road will make the movement of traffic along the Ring Road between Azadpur in north Delhi and Nizamuddin in south Delhi signal free.
"The new road will have facilities such as cycle track on either side, rainwater harvesting, street-lighting and lot of greenery. With the construction of this road, the intersections at Shalimar Bagh, Ashok Vihar and East Shalimar Bagh would become signal free," Delhi PWD minister Raj Kumar Chauhan said. .
"This elevated road would benefit people living and working in Shalimar Bagh, Ashok Vihar, Wazipur Industrial Area, East Pitampura, Azadpur Mandi, Keshavpuram and Mall Road," local MLA Hari Shankar Gupta said.
