Rajesh Kumar, the 29-year-old techie who dreamed of an event management company of his own, was held on Minto Road with a friend, Abhishek. They had four HD cameras stowed away at the back of their car.

“Four bags were lying near the rear seat and the police found cameras in them. The duo, however, could not give an explanation when questioned about the cameras. They later broke down and said they had stolen them from a company which provides logistics on rent,” a senior police officer said.

Kumar and his friend would trick companies into renting them the cameras by posing as NGO workers and slip away with the devices.
