Several errors in the Class 12 CBSE computer science paper on Monday left many students confused and anxious.

Schools have been receiving complains from both students and teachers about the errors in the questions.
Question No. 1 had a syntax error. In one of its parts, a variable chance was given whose minimum and maximum values were asked but this variable was not there in the question at all. In the same question, a message was missing.
In question No. 5, values of variables were not provided, while question No. 3 carried a technically wrong statement.
“I got confused with the statement and other errors in the question paper. It not only wasted time but also distracted me from concentrating on other questions. The errors really discouraged me,” said Sri Ranjani Prasanthi, a student of Class 12 in Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar.
The students and teachers were concerned because there was just one day for revision.
“The students had math exam on Saturday and then just a day in hand for revision. It is difficult to revise the whole syllabus in a day. The dates should have been set according to convenience of students. Students will lose 8.5 marks due to these errors,” said Sangeeta Rawal, head of computer science department at DPS, Vasant Kunj.
The school has sent a letter to CBSE highlighting the errors.
As all questions were mandatory, the students had no option other than attempting these questions with assumptions.
