In Gurgaon, the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has organised an Honour Day in honour of their leader and former deputy prime minister of India, Devi Lal. On the other side of Delhi, Sonepat would play host to Chak De Haryana-Chak De India event, organised by Haryana government to honour the state players who won medals in the recently concluded Commonwealth Games.

The two events would be held on Monday to mark November 1, which is also the Haryana Day. Thousands of party leaders, workers and supporters of Congress as well as INLD would cross Delhi to reach the event venues from the entire Haryana.

Both the events, slated to start between 11am and 11.30am, however, would see a constant flux of Congress and other party leaders from across Haryana.

Thousands of Congress supporters and sports lovers from Gurgaon, Faridabad and Bahadurgarh would cross Delhi in cars, buses, trucks and even the Metro to attend the Sonepat event.

Similarly, INLD supporters from parts of Haryana would come to Gurgaon through Delhi using similar modes of transport.

The most affected areas would be southern and northern Delhi due to traffic bottlenecks.

Although, the Gurgaon police department officials did not issue any traffic advisory for Monday, they claimed elaborate arrangements were made to tackle any adverse situations and there was nothing to worry about.
