Thursday’s rainfall may have brought cheer to a lot of Delhiites but waterlogging and traffic jams caused trouble in many areas. The Capital received an average of 4.1 mm of rainfall, the Met department said.

Heavy rainfall started after 1.30 pm, slowing down traffic on major stretches near ITO, South Extension and Vikas Marg among others. Waterlogging was reported from several areas, including Laxmi Nagar, Parliament Street, Paschim Vihar, Rohini, Shalimar Bagh and ITO.
The minimum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 28.2 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, while the maximum was recorded at 32.8 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal. The humidity oscillated between 70 and 89 per cent.
The Met office has forecast rains for Friday as well.
