Farmers have been agitating at Bhatta Parsaul in Greater Noida since mid-January, protesting the land acquisition policies of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority.

Meerut commissioner Bhuvnesh Kumar, under whose jurisdiction Noida falls, has held a meeting with top police and administrative officials in the wake of the agitation.
