The gang was led by a management graduate who was running a tutorial institute in Kanjhawala in northwest Delhi.

The accused used to charge Rs 2-3 lakh per candidate.

The accused would enter exam centers after conniving with the invigilators. Once they got the question paper they photocopied it, police said.

Experts hired by the accused would then solve the paper and prepare the key that was sent to students through SMS in various exam centres, police said. The scam was going on for the past two years.

The accused have been identified as principal Mahipal Dev (53), MCD teachers Ramesh Singh Dahiya (52) and Sachin Kumar (24), Jitender Singh (40), Yogesh (26) and Pawan Kumar (28) — the gang leader — an MBA who is unemployed.
