Four of a family die in a road accident

Four members of a family, including two children, died when the car they were traveling in—a Wagon R—crashed into a stationary truck at Bata More on National Highway 2 in Faridabad around mid-night.

While three of the family members, Manish Srivastava, Ravish Srivastava, his daughter Shriya, 8, died on the spot, the fourth one, Irsha, succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.

Three other members were critically injured.

The accident took place when the family, hailing from Kannoj in Uttar Pradesh, was returning to Bahadurgarh after attending a marriage ceremony in Kannoj.

Two members of the family worked for private companies in Bahadurgarh and Hisar.

“The deceased originally belonged to Kannoj in Uttar Pradesh,” SHO Sector 11 police station Khem Chand said.

He further said, “The bodies were handed over to the family members after post-mortem.”
